The choral music festival dedicated to the 170th anniversary of the outstanding Armenian composer, conductor, musician and public figure Christophor Kara-Murza was coming to an end.
The final concert of the festival, initiated by CUA and in partnership with the Ararat Patriarchal Diocese, took place on June 15th in the Concert Hall. Arno Babajanyan, in which choral groups of secondary education music schools after P. I. Tchaikovsky, art schools after. A. Danielyan, L. Saryan, M. Maluntsyan, music schools after A. Achemyan, A. Tigranyan and music school in Zovuni took part.
The festival exclusively performed choral works by Armenian composers. At the two previous concerts, about two dozen choral groups were presented, and Kara-Murza’s piano arrangements were performed at the opening ceremony, which gave the music lovers the opportunity to get acquainted with the wide range of Kara-Murza’s work. A distinctive feature of the festival was that in a separate concert day, in addition to choral groups of art and music schools, choral groups of secondary schools also took part.
