THE 9TH ARMENIAN CONTEMPORARY MUSIC FESTIVAL STARTS IN DILIJAN

On the initiative of the Composers Union of Armenia and with the support of the MESCS RA, The Armenian Contemporary Music Festival will be held in Dilijan, in the Beethoven Concert Hall of the Edward Mirzoyan Composers’ Creativity House, from September 26 to 28.

 

This year, the Gyumri State Symphony Orchestra and the Vanadzor Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Honored Artist of the RA Ruben Asatryan, will take part in the festival.

 

On September 26, the Vanadzor Chamber Orchestra will perform works by Lazar Saryan, Alexander Arutyunian, David Halajyan, Narine Zarifyan, Armenuhi Karapetyan, Haykuhi Hakobyan, Jirayr Shahrimanyan and Edmond Makaryan.

 

On September 28, the Gyumri State Symphony Orchestra will perform works by Alexander Adjemyan, Gevorg Armenyan, Edgar Hovhannisyan, Khachatur Martirosyan, Vard Manukyan and Karen Ananyan.

 

Entrance to the concerts is free. Start: 18:00

 

The festival “DILIJAN DAYS” is held in partnership with the cultural foundation “Support to the Composers Union of Armenia”.
