Studied at the music school after A. Spendiaryan, at the same time was a trumpeter in the brass band of the Pioneer Palace
1953-1957 – studied at the composition depatment at the Romanos Melikyan Music College (prof. E. Baghdasaryan)
1962 – graduated from the composition department at the Yerevan State Conservatory after Komitas (prof. G. Yeghiazaryan)
Since 1955 – G. Sundukyan National Academic Theater of Yerevan (trumpeter)
1960-1979 – G. Sundukyan National Academic Theater of Yerevan (head and conductor of the musical section)
1963-1981 – theoretical subjects in music educational institutions (teacher)
Since 1960 – founder and leader of pop and folk orchestras, which participated in numerous republican and all-union competitions and won awards and honors
1972 – member of the Union of Composers of the USSR
1979-1986 – founder and artistic director of the “Arevik” children’s vocal-instrumental ensemble of the Armenian Radio and Television (in those years, “Arevik” was awarded the title of laureate of the contests dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the formation of the republican, transcaucasian and USSR, and the “Big Gold” medal in the city of Dubna near Moscow)
1986-1995 – conductor of the Aram Merangulyan Folk Instruments Orchestra of TV-Radio
1995 – founder of the pop ensemble “Elegy” (under the Ministry of Defense of Armenia), which performed concerts in Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh
1993-2007 – main adviser on music of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and the Armenian Charitable Union, a member of the TV-Radio Committee and the artistic councils of the RA Choral Society
Since 2003 – honorary member of the RA Choral Society
Composed symphonic, brass, folk, pop, vocal and instrumental works.
