1979-1986 – member of the secretariat of the Composers Union of Armenia
1986-1991 – deputy chairman of the Composers Union of Armenia
Since 1994 – founder-chairman of the Armenian Music Assembly
1995-2000 – chairman of the Symphonic Music Center attached to the philharmonic orchestra of Armenia
