BIOGRAPHY

1954 – graduated from the piano department of the Moscow Conservatory

1958 – graduated from the conducting department of the Moscow Conservatory

1957-1959 – conductor of the Moscow Regional Symphonic Orchestra

1962-1966 – conductor at the Bolshoi Theater

Since 1959 – conductor of the Symphonic Orchestra of the USSR State Cinema

1966-1976 and 1986-1990 – artistic director and chief conductor of the Symphonic Orchestra of the USSR State Cinema

1986-1988 and 1990-1991 – artistic director and chief conductor of the Symphonic Orchestra of the State Committee of Television and Radio of the Republic of Armenia

Since 1991 – artistic director and chief conductor of the Yerevan Chamber Orchestra

1972-1974 – lecturer at the Gnessin Music College

Since 1990 – lecturer at the Yerevan State Conservatory after Komitas (YSCK)

 

He had concerts in cities of the CIS and abroad, staged performances in opera houses in Poland and Czechoslovakia, the conductor of the orchestra in the film “Tehran-43”.

1975 – People’s Artist of the RSFSR (Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic)
