BIOGRAPHY

Studied composition (Prof. M. Mavisakalyan) and piano (Prof. Z. Barseghyan) at the P. I. Tchaikovsky Music School

Earned Bachelor’s degrees in composition (Prof. R. Sargsyan) and piano (Prof. R. Tandilyan) from Yerevan State Conservatory

Earned Master of Music degree from the University of Washington (Prof. J. F. Durand), specializing in contemporary compositional techniques

Earned Doctor of Arts degree – National Academy of Sciences of Armenia (Dissertation: Music Management)

Lecturer in History of Performing Arts at Yerevan State Conservatory

Specialized in Music Management

Worked at “Arts Link” Foundation (New York), Washington Performing Arts Society, Dublin Fringe Festival

Participated at the 7th International Conference on Arts Administration, Milan

Participated at the 4th International Conference on Arts Marketing, Tampere (Finland)

Taught Polyphony, Counterpoint, and General Music Theory at the University of Washington

Currently serves as the Chair of the Cultural Arts Commission for the City of Kirkland, USA

Currently serves on board of directors of the Gallery Concerts Music Organization, performing chamber music of Baroque and Classical periods
