Studied composition (Prof. M. Mavisakalyan) and piano (Prof. Z. Barseghyan) at the P. I. Tchaikovsky Music School
Earned Bachelor’s degrees in composition (Prof. R. Sargsyan) and piano (Prof. R. Tandilyan) from Yerevan State Conservatory
Earned Master of Music degree from the University of Washington (Prof. J. F. Durand), specializing in contemporary compositional techniques
Earned Doctor of Arts degree – National Academy of Sciences of Armenia (Dissertation: Music Management)
Lecturer in History of Performing Arts at Yerevan State Conservatory
