1954-1961 – piano department of Al. Spendiaryan music school

1961-1965 – composition department at the State music college after R. Melikyan (prof. Ed. Baghdasaryan)

1965-1970 – composition department at the Yerevan State Conservatory after Komitas (YSCK) (prof. Al. Harutyunyan)

1981-1984 – postgraduate course at the YSCK (prof. Ed. Mirzoyan)

1965-1966 – Music school after A. Satian in Goris (piano and theoretical subjects teacher)

1973-1980 – Armenian TV-Radio State Committee (music editor)

1973-1980 – State music college after R. Melikyan (music theory department)

1973-1986 – Sayat-Nova music school (composition teacher)

1980-1986 – Music Pedagogical College after A. Babajanyan (head of the theoretical department)

Since 1986 – YSCK (composition department lecturer)

1990-1994 – Yerevan Chamber Orchestra (art director)

1994-1997 – Armenian Stete TV-Radio (cheif editor of music programs, art director and director of music groups)

Since 2013 – the chairman of CMA (Re-elected in 2017 and 2022)
