Born on 20/09/1965 in Yerevan

Member of the Composers Union of Armenia since 1989

BIOGRAPHY

1989 – graduated composition department at the Yerevan State Conservatory after Komitas (YSCK) (prof. Gh. Saryan)

1990 – graduated from the flute class at the YSCK (prof. L. Aloyan)

1992 – post-graduate course (prof. Gh. Saryan)

1994-1995 – National Conservatory of Boulogne, France (comp. – prof. P. Gruvel, flute – prof. S. Nessy)

Teacher at the Art school after Gh. Saryan  

Since 2010 – composition department at the YSCK (docent)

2017 – participated in experience exchange courses with his students at the Vienna Academy of Music and the Slovenian Conservatory

2018 – performancies with her students in Stockholm.

1977 – film “The Young Composer” by Japanese TV dedicated to Armenuhi Karapetyan (shown in Japan, Russia and Armenia)

1986-1989 – Pensioner of the “Mantashyan” Foundation

2000 and 2005 – “Best Teacher” award. Her students were awarded the title of laureates of international competitions (“Renaissance” international competition-festival, “Amadeus” international competition, competitions in Vienna, Frankfurt, Russia and Armenia, annual republican festivals of creative children after A. Khachatryan, after Ed. Mirzoyan international competition of young artists, “7 notes” international competition announced by S. Tankian)

2002 – “Golden Palmyra” international competition (special prize for “Best Contemporary Choral Composition”).

2007, 2011, 2013 – “Singing Armenia” national competitions prize

2009 – “Renaissance” international competition-festival dedicated to the 140th anniversary of Komitas (prize for the best arrangement).

2012 – “Young Classics” competition in Saint-Petersburg (diploma)

2012 – “Avetis” Armenian-Swiss cultural association (1st prize in the “Ave Maria”)

2016 – Letter of thanks from Gyumri Municipality for participation in the event “Contemporary Composers in Gyumri”

2016 – Pop-patriotic song competition-festival (honorary certificate)

2016 and 2019 – Kanaker-Zeytun administrative district of RA (letter of honour).

2016 – “Modern composers in Gyumri” (certificate of participation from Gyumri Municipality)

2017 – “Wiener Musikakademie Certificate” for the exchange of experience Vienna Music Academy

2017 – Gold Medal of the RA Ministry of Culture

2021 – “New Melodies” 1st international competition for composers in St. Petersburg (3rd prize)
