2006 – Laureate of the “Narekatsi young composers” competition in the “Contemporary Classical Music” nomination.
2008 – Diploma for recognizing the laureate of the “Creative Achievement of Contemporary Armenian Compositional Art” award anounced by the international Armenian Congress, the Union of Armenians of Russia, and the CUA.
2008 – Laureate of the “Yerevan in a song” competition organized by the RA Municipality.
2008 – Certificate of Honor awarded by the Military Band Service of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia. “To Karen Ananyan, a member of the 14746* Infantry Regiment of the General Staff Orchestra of the RA Ministry of Defense, for exemplary service and high professional training”.
2008 – Diploma for the composition “Ritual Dance” written for 13 musical instruments at the “1st Festival of Chamber Music for Young Composers” organized by the Ministry of Culture of the RA and the CUA.
2011 – Jubilee Medal for “20 years of Armed Forces” given by the Ministry of Defense of RA.
2011 – Certificates of honor for the songs “Aravot’ and “Yerevan” in the “Youth Song” nomination of the “Arevner” jubilee children’s song competition.
2011 – Ceritificate for participating in the event dedicated to A. Babajanyan’s original songs held at the big hall of YSMU.
2012 – Laureate of “Radamistro-Project” composers’ competition held in Halle, Germany”, 1st prize
2012 – “Gratitude letter” given by the Ministry of Defense of RA for a high indicator of combat readiness and military discipline.
2013 – 1st Degree Medal for “Impeccable Service” from the Ministry of Defense of the RA.
2015 – Participated in the Days of Armenian Culture held at the UNESCO Hall in Paris, performing his own arrangements for piano, duduk, tar, kanon, voice and symphony orchestra.
Since 2015 – Created his own “band” performing in concerts and participating in numerous TV shows with well-known pop-singers
2016 – Performed as a pianist and arranger in the concert show of guitarist David Sexta at the Brahms Philharmonic Hall in Hamburg, where he also performed some of his own works.
2018 – Won his 1st prize in the competition (“Song about Yerevan”) announced by the CUA and the Municipality.
2019 – Performed with his orchestra and famous singers at the famous “Vagram Hall” in Paris, dedicated to Charles Aznavour, as pianist and artistic director.
Since 2022 until now – Has been working as a pianist and artistic director in the “Yerg-Yergots” music project of the Armenia’s Public Television.
2022 – Participated in the “Best Chamber Composition” competition announced by the CUA and the Municipality, and was awarded with the 1st prize.
2023 – Performed at the “Alex Theater” in Los Angeles at a concert
dedicated to Charles Aznavour with his orchestra and famous singers, with a program he developed himself.
