Born 14/06/1954, Yerevan

BIOGRAPHY

Studied at the Yerevan Dance School (sports and rhythmic gymnastics)

1975 – graduated from Yerevan Music College after R. Melikyan

1980 – graduated from the musicology department at the Yerevan State Conservatory after Komitas (YSCK)

1983 – Graduated from the Institute of Arts of the NAS RA with specializations in Musicology and Theater Studies

2000 – Graduated from the faculty of Psychology at the Yerevan State University

Since 1984 – senior researcher at the Institute of Arts of the NAS RA

1987 – Staged a number of classical opera and ballet performances at the Children’s Music and Plastic Arts Studio at the Republican Center for Aesthetic Education in Yerevan

1992-1997 and 2002-2004 – Specialist in dance and other psychotherapeutic methods at the Institute of Mask Therapy in Moscow and developed a special system of dance therapy.

Author of articles devoted to issues of Armenian ballet, musical theater and psychotherapy. In 2011, the monograph “Ashot Asaturyan – choreographer of the last century” was published.

2011 – The monograph “Ashot Asaturyan – choreographer of the last century” was awarded the 2nd prize in the category “The Best book about a contemporary”
