BIOGRAPHY

1968-1976 – piano department at the Yerevan Al. Spendiaryan music school

1976-1979 – music theory department at the Tchaikovsky Music School

1979-1984 – musicology department at the Yerevan State Conservatory after Komitas (YSCK)

1984-1988 – post-graduate course at the Art Institute of the State Academy of Arts of RA (NAS RA)

Since 1985 – theoretical department at the Al. Spendiaryan music school (teacher)

1995-2012 – theoretical department at the State Music College after A. Babajanyan

Since 1996 – musicologist and concert host of the “New Names” program of Armenia

Since 1998 – Music history lecturer at the YSCK

2008-2012 – deputy director at the State Music College after A. Babajanyan

Since 2012 – head of the educational department at the YSCK

Author of about 2 dozen articles published in the press, as well as radio programs and television programs (with H1: “Musical Jewelry Box”, “Lusastgh”, “Camerton”)

2005 – Yerevan Municipality Award for the 1st republican competition-festival of young musicians-performers after dedicated to Al. Spendiaryan

2005 – Yerevan Municipality Award for “The best pedagogue of the 2004-2005 school year”

2006 – Yerevan Municipality Award of 75th anniversary of the founding of the school for long-term pedagogical work

2006 – Diploma of the 2nd Pan-Armenian Cultural Festival “One Nation, One Culture” for promoting the preservation and dissemination of Armenian national culture, as well as actively participating in the 2nd Pan-Armenian Cultural Festival “One Nation, One Culture”

2008, 2009 – Golden Medal and Certificate of Honor of the A. Babajanyan Memorial Fund for the preservation and promotion of A. Babajanyan’s works

2009 – Letter of Appreciation of the Sochi Municipality for invaluable contribution to the development of bilateral cooperation between Yerevan and Sochi
