BIOGRAPHY

Graduated from the piano department at the State music college after Romanos Melikyan

1989 – composition department at the Yerevan State Conservatory after Komitas (YSCK) (prof. Ed. Hovhannisyan)

1991 – post-graduate studies at the YSCK

1991 – studies at the Basel Academy of Music and the Zurich Conservatory

Armenian State Radio as a music editor

Author of “8:30” program

Performs as a composer, choir leader

Professor at the Zurich Conservatory

1983 – Sonata for cello and piano

1984 – String Quartet No. 1

1985 – String Quartet No. 2

1986 – “Mesrop Mashtots” cantata for soloists, choir and orchestra

2001 – Violin Concerto for Violin, Strings and Percussion

2001 – “Shakespeare’s Sonnets” for a cappella choir

2005 – “The Expulsion of Mankind” for choir and duduk
