COMPOSER KONSTANTIN PETROSYAN – HONORED ARTIST OF THE RA

The ceremony of awarding the honorary title “Honored Artist of the Republic of Armenia” to composer Konstantin Petrosyan, artist of the Armenian Chamber Orchestra, co-chairman of the Foreign Committee of the Armenian Chamber Orchestra, took place in the USA.

A reception was held in honor of K. Petrosyan at the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia with the participation of Ambassador Lilit Makunts, during which he was awarded the medal “Honored Artist” and a certificate of honor.

In her speech, the Ambassador noted the outstanding role of the composer and conductor in the development of Armenian music and art and wished him new creative successes. K. Petrosyan, in turn, thanked the President of Armenia and the government for the high award. He expressed gratitude to the Ambassador of Armenia for organizing the ceremony.

It is worth to note that representatives of the US Senate, clergy and diplomats attended the ceremony.
