CUA Chairman Aram Satian welcomed and wished success to the members of the CUA Youth Department Council, as well as to the members of the Union and the CUA Youth Department who attended the meeting.
The head of the CUA Youth Department Lilit Artemyan thanked Aram Satian for participating in the meeting and inspiring the youth. Lilit Artemyan congratulated the member of the youth department of the Academy of Sciences of Armenia, composer Gor Ispiryan, on winning the 1st prize at the 2nd Harutyun Dellalyan composers’ competition. Lilit Artemyan welcomed the inclusion of chamber, orchestral and symphonic works by young composers in the program of the 7th Armenian Festival of Contemporary Music, congratulated the CUA members present at the meeting, composers Jirayr Shagrimanyan and Tigran Hambaryan, wishing them new creative successes.
Discussed: –
- Participation of young members of the Writers’ Union of Armenia in the events of the “20th Forum of Young Writers” held in the Tsaghkadzor Creative House of the Writers Union of Armenia on October 17-19 at the initiative of the Writers Union of Armenia.
- Participation of members of the CUA Youth Organization and the CUA Youth Branch in the “International Forum of Young Figures” organized within the framework of the 6th Yerevan International Short Film Festival.
- Future directions of the CUA Youth Branch.
Decisions were made: –
- To rename the CUA Youth Forum into the CUA Youth Branch.
In January 2024, organize a selection of works by young composers-members of CUA and members of the youth department of CUA in the musical-theatrical (mono-opera), symphonic, chamber and choral genres, with the aim of submitting them for consideration by the State Collectives of the Armenian Academy of Sciences, cooperating with the youth department of CUA (selection procedure in January). Clarify the schedule of further programs of the youth department of CUA.
