Applications from 4 composers and 1 musicologist were submitted to the admission committee.<\/p>\n

Karin Hellman-Gevorgyan (composer, born in 1955)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ashot Ashot Ariyan (composer, born in 1973)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Alisa Sargsyan (composer, born in 1981)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nune Yeremyan (composer, born in 1983)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Armine Hakobyan (musicologist, born in 1981)<\/strong><\/p>\n

After listening to the composers’ works and studying the musicologist’s works, a discussion took place, followed by an open vote.<\/p>\n

Karin Hellman-Gevorgyan – 7 votes, 2 abstentions<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ashot Arian – unanimously in favor<\/strong><\/p>\n

Alisa Sargsyan – unanimously in favor<\/strong><\/p>\n

The commission decided to leave the discussion of the other two applications (Nune Yeremyan, Armine Hakobyan) for the next meeting, based on the need to discuss some technical issues with the applicants.<\/p>\n

According to the procedure for accepting new members of CUA, the decision of the CUA Admissions Committee comes into legal force only at the 1st meeting of the Board following the meeting of the Admissions Committee.<\/p>\n
