BIOGRAPHY

1952 – graduated from the violin department at the Yerevan State Conservatory after Komitas (YSCK) (prof. V. Portugalov)

1960 – graduated from the composition department at the YSCK (prof. E. Mirzoyan)

1942-52 performed as a violinist

1952-59 – Yerevan music school after Sarajev (principal and teacher)

Since 1959 – Lived in Moscow

2 symphonies (1957, 1959 with the reading of M. Sholokhov’s “Man’s Fate”) made a significant contribution to Armenian symphonic music

1983 – Symphonietta

1977 – Concerto for violin and orchestra

1955, 1967 – 2 string quartets
