Studied at the music college after R. Melikyan

Studied at the choral (prof. T. Altunyan) and composition (prof. G. Yeghiazaryan) departments at the Yerevan State Conservatory after Komitas (YSCK)

1952-1954 – Principal of Leninakan Music School (now Gyumri Music School after K. Kara-Murza)

1955-1961 – Director of the Yerevan Academy of Dance

1961-1964 – Editor-in-chief of music programs of Radio Armenia

1964-1966 – Director of the Armenian Philharmonic

1966-1972 – Director of the Al. Spendiaryan’s house-museum

1972-1975 – Art director and director of Arm. State Variety

1981-1986 – Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the Armenian Folk Instruments Ensemble

Since 2001 – member of the International Academy of Spiritual Unity of the Peoples of the World
