BIOGRAPHY

1961 – graduated from the composition department at the Yerevan State Conservatory after Komitas (YSCK) (prof. G. Yeghiazaryan)

1964 – post-graduated at the YSCK

1957-1964 – A. Gabrielyan music school in Yerevan (teacher)

From 1957 – the Yerevan Pedagogical Institute after Kh. Abovyan (lecturer)

1973-1986 – the Composers Union of the ASSR (secretary)

Since 1974 – the Composers Union of the USSR (secretary)

1962 – Symphony

1963 – “Armenia” poem

1967 – “Prometheus” ballet (libretto by E. Changai, staged in Poland in 1968)

1970 – “Poem about Lenin” for voice, choir and piano

1971 – “5 Hymns of S. Parthev” (arrangement for voice and piano)

Music for the movie “The Hunter of Lalvar”

1968 – Young Kommunist Award (“Prometheus” ballet)

1968 – Lenin State Prize

1977 – Honored Art Worker of the ASSR

1986 – Medal of Honor
