1969-1976 – Music school after H. Danielyan (composition teacher: A. Palyan)

1976-1980 – music theory and composition departments at the State music college after Romanos Melikyan (prof. Ed. Baghdasaryan)

1980-1985 – composition department Yerevan State Conservatory after Komitas (YSCK) (prof. E. Mirzoyan)

1986-1988 – YSCK postgraduate course

1981-1991 – Art director at the Yerevan State Chamber Theater

1989-1991 – Yerevan Arno Babajanyan Music College (head of the jazz department)

Since 1996 – Lark School of Music in Los Angeles (teacher)

Since 1981 – concert activities in the cities of the former Soviet Union, as well as in Canada, Brazil, Spain, Italy, Greece, France, Austria, Australia, UK, Germany, Czechoslovakia, Sweden, Switzerland, Poland, Finland, Hungary, Romania, US cities, Middle Eastern countries…

1985 – 2nd prize for the jazz trio “Sketch” at the composition competition of the USSR

1986 – Tbilisi, 1987 Moscow – Laureate of the 8th All-Union Variety Artists Competition (2nd prize)

1987 – Jazz compositions album in “Melodia”

1992 – 1st prize of the USA composition competition

2000 – “No Problem” CD for jazz quartet

2001 – “Out of Standarts” CD for jazz quartet

2022 – Best Composer Award at the «2022 Chicago Indie Film Awards» for his music for the film “American Good Samaritans”
