1988-1996 – Piano department at Sayat-Nova music school

1993-1996 – composition department at Sayat-Nova music school (profs. A. Satyan, S. Zakaryan and V. Achemyan)

1996-1998 – Theoretical courses at Tchaikovsky music school

1998-2003 – composition department at the Yerevan State Conservatory after Komitas (YSCK) (prof. A. Zohrabyan)

2000-2006 – conducting department at the (YSCK) (prof. T. Hekekyan)

2007 – Post-graduate course at the YSCK (prof. A. Zohrabyan)

2012-2015 – composition department at the McGill University (prof. Philip Leroux)

2005-2006 – Armenian Chamber Voices Choir (group leader and artistic director)

2010-2012 – European Choral Association (music consultant)

2012 – Member of the SOCAN Copyright Protection Association

2013 – Member of the League of Canadian Composers
