1940-1950 – piano and composition departments at the music school after P. I. Tchaikovsky
1953 – graduated from the composition department at the Yerevan State Conservatory after Komitas (YSCK) (prof.: G. Yeghiazaryan).
Mastered at Moscow Conservatory (profs.: Yu. Fortunatov and G. Litinsky)
1953 – music school after Sarajev (founder-head of the composition department)
1971 – lecturer at the YSCK
1986 – member of the calculation committee of the Composers Union of Armenia USSR
1989 – founding member of the Republican Women’s Council
1989 – member of the Artistic Council of Public Radio
