Born on 18/12/1950 of Buenos Aires, Argentina
1972-1973 – Studied journalism at the Catholic Institute of Social Studies in Buenos Aires
1974-1975 – Studied at the Philology Department of Yerevan State University (profs: Ruben Galstyan, Sofia Baghumyan, Ashkhen Gasparyan)
1982 – Graduated from the Catholic University of Argentina (history of music and literature)
1984 – graduated the musicology department of the Yerevan State Conservatory after Komitas (YSCK) (profs: M. Brutyan and N. Tahmizyan)
2001 – graduated the composition department of the YSCK (prof: Edward Mirzoyan’s class)
2004 – completed the YSCK postgraduate course (professor Ed. Mirzoyan)
Currently is a professor at the Institute of Culture of the Catholic University of Argentina and the University of Buenos Aires. Conducts the course “Armenian Civilization and Its Influence on the West”.
Member of the Writers’ Union of Armenia.

Has published musicological studies in numerous academic journals around the world.
1993 – received the “Premio Bienal de Composición de la Asociación Amigos de la Música” composition award from the “Association of Friends of Music”
2000 – Doctor of Musicology
His musical, literary and artistic works have won awards in Argentina and Armenia.
