Born on 21/11/1966 in Yerevan
Graduated from the cello class of Yerevan Tchaikovsky Music School
1984 – composition department at the Yerevan State Conservatory after Komitas (YSCK) (Prof.: E. Hovhannisyan)
1980s – Metro Theatre (musical director). Collaborating with the artistic group of the theater, created several musical performances, among them “Master and Servant” and “Prince Charming”
1989 – together with Russian film director Vishnevsky, created the music for the documentary “The Lord Saves Them” (in memory of victims of the 1988 eartquake)
1989 – Yerevan Art Center, founder of the “Chamber Orchestra of Young Talents” and the “Children’s Jazz Choir”
These two groups participated in many music festivals in the Soviet Union. In 1990 – contest fter “Glinka” in Lipetsk (1st prize)
1991 – Children’s jazz orchestra (main prize, as the “the best children’s choir of the Caucasus”) in Tbilisi
1993-2000 – Yerevan State Philharmonic Orchestra (director of tours)
2011 – Avetis Berberyan’s compositions performed in the Paramount Theater hall by the Oakland East Bay Symphony Orchestra and Choir
Since 2012 – founder of the “Gala Art” exhibition hall
2014 – Vice-chairman of the Union of Composers of Armenia

2000 – “Sayat Nova” pan-Armenian song contest (main prize for the ballad “Come out, O Armenian”)
2008 – “1st Republican Competition of Saxophonists” (3rd prize for the piece “Autumn Reflections”)
2022 – Gold Medal of the RA Ministry of Education and Culture
