1988-1992 – Music school after R. Melikyan (piano – R. Saryan’s class, composition – B. Sakilari’s class)
1992-1994 – Yerevan State Conservatory after Komitas (YSCK) (composition – A. Smbatyan’s class, instrumentation – L. Saryan’s class, theory – R. Atayan’s class)
1995 – moved to Moscow
1995-1999 – State Conservatory after P. I. Tchaikovsky (composition – prof. K. Khachaturyan, theory – prof. Yu. Kholopov). Graduated with distinction.
1999-2001 – post-graduate studies at the Moscow State Conservatory. P. I. Tchaikovsky
2002 – Professor, assistant K. Khachaturyan, teacher of composition and music theory.
2007 – Moved to Canada to defend his doctoral thesis at the University of Montreal.
1999 – “Concert-Brevis” for piano and orchestra was successfully performed in the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory with the participation of the Russian Philharmonic Orchestra
2009 – The symphonic fresco “Sounds of Stonehenge” was performed in Montreal by the “UdeM” Symphonic Orchestra in 2011, in Armenia by the National Philharmonic Orchestra, and in Moscow by the Moscow State Symphonic Orchestra
2013 – “Planète X” (Un train pour l’enfer II) for seven instruments was performed with great success in Montreal by the “Arkea” ensemble
Many of his chamber works were performed for the first time as part of the international music festival “Moscow Autumn”
One of his last works is a cycle of 12 fugues and postludes for piano commissioned by the Canadian Arts Council. In May 2022, “RMN Music” released his “Fugue and Postlude in A Major” for the “Piano 4” catalog as a reward
2016 – his music was performed in the ballet performance “Twin Suns” staged by R. Kharatyan, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.
Since 2020, the ballet “Twin Suns” is regularly broadcasted on Mezzo TV
