BIOGRAPHY

1964-1969 – musicology department at the Yerevan State Conservatory after Komitas (YSCK) (prof. R. Atayan)

1971-1974 – post-graduate course of the Leningrad State Conservatory (prof. G. Tigranov)

1975 – Candidate of Arts at the Leningrad State Conservatory (“Armenian music of the 20th century. 60’s features of development”)

1978, 1988 – advanced training courses at the Moscow State Conservatory

1999 – Doctor of Arts at the Moscow State Conservatory (“Armenian music in the context of the 20th century”)

2000 – Lviv Academy of Music (lecturer)

1992-1997 – “New Musical Initiatives” organizer, RA Ministry of Culture

1984, 1997, 1998 – the St. Petersburg Conservatory (lecturer)

1988 – Moscow State Conservatory (lecturer)

1986 – Vilnius Music Academy (lecturer)

Since 1974 – Department of music theory at the YSCK
