BIOGRAPHY

1968 – graduated from music school after P. I. Tchaikovsky

1973 – graduated from Yerevan State Conservatory after Komitas (YSCK) (“musicologist-researcher”, prof. R. Atayan)

1976-1980 – postgraduate study at the Institute of Arts

Since 1980 – worked at the Institute of Arts

Since 1980 – leading researcher at the Institute of Arts of the National Academy of Science of the Republic of Armenia (IA NAS RA)

Since 1982 – teacher at the YSCK

1982 – At the Institute of Arts after Hamza defended her thesis in Tashkent on the topic “The Art of Mugamat in Armenian-Iranian Musical Relations” and received a candidate’s degree in art history

2004 – In Yerevan defended her doctoral dissertation on the topic “Ashugh novel in the context of Armenian-Oriental musical relations” and received the scientific degree of Doctor of Art History

Since 2005 – member of the Academic Council and Professional Council for awarding academic degrees 016 in the field of art history at the IA NAS RA

2009 – professor at the YSCK

Since 2013 – member of the CUA Board

Since 2015 – member of the Academic Council of the Museum-Institute after Komitas

1991 – “From the history of Armenian-Iranian musical relations”, Yerevan

1998 – “Hymn to the Sun. “To Sahari” in Armenian musical culture”

2009 – “Ashugh novel in the context of Armenian-Oriental musical relations”, Yerevan, “Gitutyun” publishing house
