Born 27/09/1947, in Leninakan.

BIOGRAPHY

1965 – Graduated from the piano class at the school after. P. I. Tchaikovsky (teacher: E. Voskanyan)

1973 – Graduated from the vocal theoretical department at the Yerevan State Conservatory after Komitas YSCK (prof. G. Chebotaryan)

1970-1973 – Music school after Ch. Kushnaryan (teacher)

1973-1975 –State Pedagogical University after Kh. Abovyan (teacher)

1973-1982 – Music College after R. Melikyan (teacher)

Since 1982 – lecturer at the YSCK (at the same time she is a senior researcher at the folk music department of the Institute of Arts of the NAS RA)

1992-1995 – Music school after P. I. Tchaikovsky (teacher)

1990 – Candidate of Art History

2009 – Associate Professor

The research concerns Armenian folk, sacred music and composition.

She edited the volumes “Record of the Holy Liturgy”, “Record of the Chapel Chants” (transpositions from new Armenian records with European notation) and “Bibliography of K. Khudabashyan”. Author of the book “Armenian Folk Instruments” and the “Reference book “Armenian Notation”.
