BIOGRAPHY

1983 – Graduated from the school № 19 after Krupskaya

1983 – Graduated from the Yerevan children’s voice preservation music school

1987 – Graduated from the the State music college after R. Melikyan (Lenin scholarship holder)

1992 – Graduated from the musicological department at the Yerevan State Conservatory after Komitas (YSCK) (Komitas scholarship holder) (Prof.: Ed. Pashinyan)

2001 – Graduated from the post-graduate course of the National academy of sciences of the republic of Armenia (NAS RA) (prof.: G. Gyodakyan)

1991-2003 – State music college after R. Melikyan (lecturer)

2000-2002 – Dean of the Faculty of Musicology of the Armenian Open University.

2002-2003 – Researcher of the Music Department of the Art Institute of the NAS RA

2003-2005 – Scientific secretary of the NAS RA

2005-2021 – Director of the NAS RA

2009-2016 – Head of the Department of Armenian Diaspora Art of the NAS RA

2014-2018 – Chief editor of “Kantegh” scientific pereodical

2016 – Head of the Music Department of the NAS RA

2019 – Editor-in-chief of the “Artistic Journal” scientific periodical

2021 – Temporary acting director of NAS RA

Author of 11 monographs and more than 200 scientific articles published in scientific journals and collections published in Armenia, USA, Ukraine, Italy, Lebanon, Israel.

2001 – Defended the candidate’s thesis “The Operas of T. Chukhachyan” and received the scientific degree of candidate of scientific art
