Since 1966 – Member of the Composers Union of Armenia (CUA)
Studied at the A. S. Pushkin Secondary School in Gyumri (graduated with honors) and the Kara-Murza Music College (with honors)
1955 – Entered the Yerevan State Medical Institute. After entering her 2nd year with honors, she left her studies.
1956-1961 – Department of history and theory, Yerevan State Conservatory after Komitas (YSCK)
1961 – Postgraduate student at the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of the Academy of Sciences of the ArmSSR (IAE AS ASSR) (prof. R. Atayan)
1965–1968 – Junior Research Fellow at the IAE AS ASSR
From 1968 until her death, she taught at the YSCK (taught courses on the history of music)
From 1995 – Head of the Department of music history
Since 2004 – Chairman of the music sector of the State prizes of the RA
Until her death, she served as Chairman of the CUA Musicological section
Author of scholarly works, monographs, books, conference reports, radio and television broadcasts, articles, and reviews in the Union and republican press, magazines, and newspapers.
