PEOPLE’S ARTIST OF THE RA GEGHUNI CHTCHYAN WAS AWARDED THE GOLD MEDAL OF THE RA MESCS ON THE OCCASION OF HER ANNIVERSARY

On the occasion of her anniversary, People’s Artist of the Republic of Armenia GEGHUNI CHTCHYAN was awarded the Gold Medal of the RA MESCS, and by the decision of the Chairman of the CUA Aram Satian, the composer was awarded a certificate of honorary member of the Board of the Composers Union of Armenia.

Chairman of the CUA Aram Saiyan and Deputy Minister of ESCS RA Daniel Danielyan visited the apartment of People’s Artist of the Republic of Armenia, composer Geghuni Chtchyan and congratulated the beloved composer on his 95th birthday. Daniel Danielyan presented Geghuni Chtchyan with the gold medal of the MESCS RA for her significant contribution to the field of Armenian music, education and aesthetic education of generations, as well as on the occasion of her 95th anniversary. The Deputy Minister especially noted the path and activities of Geghuni Chtchyan, her role and contribution to the field of music, wishing the beloved composer good health and well-being. CUA Chairman Aram Satian presented Geghuni Chtchyan with the Certificate of Honorary Member of the CUA Board, as well as a new collection of romances and songs (with lyrics by H. Shiraz) written by the composer. The Chairman of the Union, in turn, thanked the composer for her great contribution to the Armenian art of composition, highly appreciated the activities of Geghuni Chtchyan, presented the details of the anniversary concert held the day before and wished the composer good health. Geghuni Chtchyan expressed her gratitude for the high assessment and noted that this visit brought her great joy. She shared with the guests her memories of the years of her creative and teaching activities and added that such conversations warm her up and fill her with positive energy.
